Here is what all of our AM classes have been up to so far at II Princeton Week 7!
Escape Room Creation- So far, this class has been full of adventure and discovery. Each morning, students work together and collaborate to try and solve an Escape Room that is set up for them by their instructor. It is great to see students helping each other out and using teamwork to achieve a goal. After going through one, the roles are reversed and students have the chance to work on creating one. The class has nine students, so they are all working in groups of three to create an original Escape Room. In their own groups, students come up with themes, clues, materials, and riddles to try and make an awesome-yet-challenging Room of their own. On Friday, they will try and stump the parents with their creations!
Minecraft Survival- The students in Minecraft Survival have been busy both virtually and in-person. The students play Minecraft using the multi-player function and have to work together to complete different missions and build different structures. This class is exploring the technical side of Minecraft because it is challenging students to reach goals and overcome obstacles, but it is also encouraging communication and collaboration because the students have to be clear with each other in the sharing of their ideas and discoveries.
Right Brain Mix- This week the Right Brain Youngsters are developing their reading skills, learning historical facts, and expressing their creativity through a study on China. The students will have read alouds and mini-lessons that teach about China, then they will make crafts reflective of the country or something they are learning about. The students so far have made Fact Flags and fans!
