Lily

Program Director and Co-Founder

Prior to founding International Ivy in 2011, Lily held numerous roles at Pfizer (2001-2010) including Director of Worldwide Strategy and Innovation. She received her Bachelor of Science in Economics from University of Pennsylvania, the Wharton School, her Master in Business Administration from Harvard University, Harvard Business School and her Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL) from Columbia University, Teachers College. She is a mother of three children.

Elaine

Assistant Program Director and Co-Founder

Elaine spent over twenty years working on Wall Street as controller for billion dollar private equity funds at Goldman Sachs (2006-2010) and Credit Suisse (1996-2004). Elaine is also co-founder of International Ivy and its HR Leader. Elaine is mother of two children.

Jeff

Advisor and Co-Founder

Jeff is an investment executive with 20 years of experience in traditional and alternative markets. He was the Head of Alternative Investments with Nikko Asset Management overseeing $30 billion of assets. He has held senior positions in ACAM Advisor, UBS, Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers. Jeff is also an inventor of two patents and a super-computer engineer designer. He has four degrees – a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from NYU, a Bacelor of Engineer in Electrical Engineering from Cooper Union, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University (now NYU), and a Master in Business Administration from Stern School of Business at NYU.

Joe

Site Director – Short Hills

Joe is an Art Teacher in Berkeley Heights during the school year. He is the Site Director at Short Hills. Joe is married with two children, and enjoys watercolor painting.

Nicole

Site Director – Chatham

During the school year, she is a middle school English teacher, but like her students, she looks forward to summer and camp all year long! Nicole loves that she has been able to make lifelong friends and form great relationships with parents and campers through International Ivy. Her favorite part of camp is the fun and exciting environment that campers and counselors make together. Nicole is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in English. Nicole has previously been a teacher and Site Director of Somerset and Lincroft. “If I have my way, I would never leave!

Kenny

Site Director – Somerset

Kenny is returning for his fifth summer at International Ivy as the Site Director of Somerset. During the school year, he is an elementary school teacher and enjoys working with his students. He is looking forward to a great summer!

Steve

Site Director – Paramus

Stephen is happy to return as Site Director at the Paramus location for a third straight year. During the school year, he is an elementary music teacher in Ridgewood, NJ, and serves as a district staff developer in innovation. Stephen is excited to continue bettering young students’ lives through International Ivy’s enrichment program.

Robert

Site Director – Oakland
Robert is in his fifth year of teaching second grade during the school year. Robert has a Master’s degree in Special Education from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Montclair State University.  Robert is also pursuing a Ph.D at Caldwell University in Higher Educational Leadership.

Josh

Site Director – Burlington, Instructor

Joshua is the Burlington Site Director and an instructor this year. He is a high school technology teacher and focuses on metalworking, drafting, and robotics. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, snowboarding, robotics, and ultimate frisbee.

Doreen

Site Director – Livingston

Doreen has been a middle school science teacher for the past nine years and leads the after-school science club. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, sewing, cooking, and scrapbooking. She is the mother of four energetic teenagers who love to keep Doreen on her toes!

Mike

Site Director – Scotch Plains

For the past sixteen years, Michael has been teaching language arts as well as coaching tennis and basketball for Sayreville Schools. He enjoys reading and writing, and is ready to take on another summer at International Ivy! He has two wonderful children, a beautiful wife, and a puppy named, “Butterscotch”.

James

Site Director – New Milford, Head Counselor – Paramus

During the school year, James is a Special Education Mathematics teacher at Manchester Regional High School in Haledon, NJ. He loves helping children learn to communicate and cooperate effectively with each other. He looks forward to his sixth summer at International Ivy!

Jeff

Instructor – Art

Jeff has been an elementary art school teacher in Rahway, NJ for the past thirteen years. He also works as a freelance artist with jobs in logo design, concept art, painting, and much more. Recently, he was awarded “Artist of the Year” for his mural work in Downtown Rahway. Jeff is married with three young children and is excited to be going into his third year with International Ivy.

Michelle

Instructor – English and Humanities

Michelle is a passionate 9th grade English and drama teacher in Bergen County, New Jersey. She has recently graduated with her Master of Arts in Teaching from Drew University. When she is out of the classroom, you will definitely find Michelle dancing – you might even find her dancing IN the classroom!

Christina

Instructor – Youngster

Christina is the Youngster teacher at International Ivy.  Christina is a graduate of Seton Hall University and holds certifications in both elementary education and special education. She has both taught and assisted in a variety of general and special education settings throughout her career thus far. Most recently, Christina has spent the school year teaching kindergarten. She is extremely hands-on and strives to meet the different needs of all of her students. Christina creates an engaging classroom environment here at International Ivy, and looks forward to providing a wonderful summer of creativity, learning, and fun to her students!
