Princeton Week 3: A Great Week for Our Youngsters
This week our Youngster Right Brain Class explored a variety of different disciplines such as history, reading, art, mindfulness, and technology. The class is great because it exposes learners to different activities that promote personal growth, but also encourage collaboration.
The students started every class with yoga and dancing, then engaged in read aloud sessions and created art projects that reflect different countries and cultures. One interesting project that the students completed was a sunset painting with animal silhouettes. The students used technology to research what animals were usually found in safari’s, which opened up a discussion about climates and habitats. Then, the students picked animals to include in their own paintings and created a really interesting piece of art. The youngsters approached every activity with enthusiasm and curiosity, which made the learning and teaching so much more fun! It is awesome when young learners can experience activities that combine different subjects and skills.
