No Treble in Chatham Week 7!
This week, we had a brand new class: A Cappella! It was taught by Ursula, a teacher and performer of a cappella herself. Students learned many warmup drills, including sirens, arpeggios, scales, and a “ziga ziga zah” drill. New skills that they mastered: harmonies, beatboxing, and much more! They ended with a culminating performance of “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” performing for Site Director Nicole and all of the counselors!
In addition, Pre-Law held a mock trial about Max Paulson vs. The State, a trial about a reckless driver that ended in a guilty verdict. The defense argued that the driver was not careless because the biker was not supposed to be biking in front of the car. However, the prosecution’s argument was successful, as it won over the jury (our counselor Ben).
We also solved the case of the missing cookies. There were many different suspicions about who stole them, but with the ingenuity of the Forensics class, we found the culprit: Counselor Kevin! The Forensics class used T-shirt fibers, hair samples, and fingerprints to tie Kevin to the crime.
See you next week!
