Normally, a bunch of paper airplanes flying through the halls is not what you want to see during school hours. Here at International Ivy, however, this is all part of the learning process!
Students in our Engineering: Flight and Aerospace class spent much of their first day learning about how airplanes work. Their teacher — our awesome counselor Olivia, standing in for our equally awesome instructor Victoria — guided them in designing their aircraft, quizzing them on parts of a real airplane all the while.
Then, they all lined up and sent their crafts on their maiden voyages, competing to see whose flew the longest. The scrappy pilot behind the craft known only as “The Dart” emerged victorious after getting almost all the way to the end of the hall! We’ll have to make sure they get an Ivy Point for all that hard work!
