Teacher Feature: Chatham Week 5
This week, we’d like to start off by highlighting one of our wonderful teachers: Aimee! She has been teaching at International Ivy for 3 years. She primarily teaches Youngster classes (ages 5-7). Some of these include Right Brain Mix, Left Brain Mix, and WeDo. Campers in her classes do a wide variety of activities. They do yoga, Reader’s theater, build robots, and practice their math! One special treat is nature walks, which Aimee runs in her Right Brain Mix class. Campers relax and take in the beautiful nature, while also learning about photography. Personally, Aimee likes the painting and arts & crafts. This week, she’s doing a spotlight on Monet because it’s France week!
When Thursday rolls around, you will catch her rocking that week’s theme! Just last week, she dressed up as Snow White for Halloween in July. Last week was a big week for her, as she also won a STAR TEACHER pin for her awesome work! When asked about her favorite part of the classes, Aimee said, “the children’s fun little personalities.” We love having Aimee as our resident Youngster teacher in Chatham!
