We were all wishing for some sunny summer weather here at Short Hills, but I guess you’ve got to be careful what you wish for! To beat the over-90 degree heat, we decided to spend the afternoon break playing some awesome board games.
Our Virtual Reality class took some time out in the real world with a game of Jenga presided over by their awesome teacher Ryan. The same steady hands that can hold a controller in virtual space can take out a block in the real one — but it’s easier said than done!
Other classes, like the campers in our WeDo Robotics classroom, took a more creative approach to their board gaming. Rather than take a pre-made game, they decided to create an alternate game of Uno using a deck of standard playing cards. If these campers are as creative with their game design skills as they are with their robots, we’re bound to see some really cool projects later on!
July in New Jersey is anything but predictable, but when the heat of the sun or stormy weather keeps us from the playground or the “Gaga” Court, we’ve got plenty of cool games to keep us occupied. Stay tuned for more fun activities later in the week!
