COV-19 Update

April 6, 2020

We sincerely hope you and your family are safe and healthy in these unusual times.  We know that campers and parents are trying their best to adjust to new situations and have many questions along the way.  One question we are receiving the most from our parents is, “Do you think the Program will run this summer?”

We are still very hopeful and committed to the start of camp as scheduled so campers can continue to learn and laugh at camp.  We are already planning new measures to advance the safety of our campers like wiping down the laptop, keyboards, mice and other equipment between uses.  We are also creating online alternatives if in-person classes are not an option.

We also recognize that these are uncertain times and we will always place our campers’ safety and well-being above all else.  We are assessing the situation closely.

Please know that International Ivy will always be fair to our families.  If we cancel camp, we will certainly issue a refund to families.  If families decide to withdraw from camp and camp is not cancelled, then families can convert their class tuition into a credit to be used anytime in the future (no expiration) by any member of the family.

In these extreme times, I find comfort in an allegory of a king who promised a handsome reward to anyone who comes up with a phrase that will give him comfort at the worse of times and give him humility at the best of times.  The winning phrase was, “This too shall pass.”  Soon, with the flowers of Spring will come the glee of summer.

Please be well and we hope to see you in the summer!  Please stay in touch if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns.  We are here for you.

Best Regards,

Lily and the Team at International Ivy
