Princeton Week 8: ‘WeDo’ Our Own Designs and Codes!
This week, our Youngsters are so enthusiastic about legos and excited to dive into the WeDo robotics! Students arrive to camp not only ready to build a figure following the instructions, but they are also eager to free build and challenge themselves to make custom codes for their personal creations.
This morning, many campers designed and coded their own custom figures with minimal help from the instructor! One student created a boat, made seats for lego-people passengers, and put together their own program to make the boat move as if it were going through waves. Another student created a duck with a code to make its wings flap up and down, and another even made a paper shredder out of the pieces. The Youngster campers will complete a variety of other WeDo projects throughout the week. It is so awesome to see students unlock their creative sides while also learning introductory engineering and coding concepts.
