Aloha from Chatham: Week 7
Today the campers were transported to Hawaii with our Fun in the Sun: Luau Carnival! Everyone came in to be greeted with our special Sunshine Playlist and flower leis for everyone! Campers and teachers wore their best beach looks with sunglasses, swim goggles, and other sunny accessories.
During break we had our first ever luau carnival. Campers had a blast playing the bean bag can game and trying to outsmart both Steve teachers during a Three Card Monty style game called, “Find the Gem!” Our Head Counselor Alison, donned a flamingo hat, while the kids tried to “ring her!” Matching was in full swing at the Duck Game and tickets were on everyone’s mind at the disk drop game. At the Color Wheel, you could win a little prize if you predicted the right color. If you just wanted to have a snack, you could trade in a ticket for some popcorn or gold fish. Hawaiian style was in full swing at the tattoo tables where Aimee gave everyone a theme tattoo! The dunk tank was the talk of the Carnival though. Campers traded in their tickets to get the chance to dunk counselors Phil or Ben!
All in all, it was a day for the books in Chatham! We can’t wait for next year!
