This week at International Ivy Princeton has been full of lots of laughs and learning. All of the classes have been engaging in fun, hands-on activities that allow them to explore various concepts in non-intimidating ways. The Public Speaking class has been doing a variety of exercises that give students the opportunity to gain confidence to speak and share their ideas in front of their peers while gaining formal public speaking tips. Today, the students did an activity where they gave a speech on the fly about a randomly assigned topic. During the students speeches their peers observed them and at the end gave them feedback about what they did well and how they can improve. Based on all the laughter coming out of this classroom this afternoon, it is obvious that the students had fun doing this activity while also learning great tips for their future! One student shared: “I like this class because it helps me be less nervous to talk in front of people and I learn important strategies like how to not fidget when I am talking to a crowd.” Another stated, “I like this class because we learn different ways of speaking and how to improve upon our own speeches and speaking!”
