This morning in our Virtual Reality class, campers used block coding to create their own roller coaster rides on the computer that they can transfer to their VR goggles. Using the technology, students developed their own sequence for their ride and created the scenery and setting around the ride that you see as you get on it and go through the simulation. One student said “I found it very fun to be able to use block coding because it is simple, easy-to-use and it is basically like making an alternate universe using technology. I like that there are a variety of options and so many new things to make and discover.” Another learner shared that they “Like how you can test the games and projects you make on your own and see your work come to life.” These campers are having fun creating projects through coding then living it through Virtual Reality. This class proves how modern technologies can create fun learning experiences!
