This week at International Ivy Princeton the Investment Literacy class is not only playing the Stock Market Game, but they are also learning a ton about the different aspects of the stock market in order to make better, more informed decisions when trading. The week started off with the students learning the difference between private and public companies, memorizing big companies tickers, and learning about beta and risk. The students are now not only applying their knowledge to the game, but they are also feeding their curiosity by researching new companies and analyzing their place in the stock market. This class is so fun and exciting because the students can see their good decision making pay off as they climb the leaderboard. Investment literacy is truly a combination of competition, collaboration, and creative thinking because the students work individually, but also learn together and share ideas. Nothing at camp is better than learning about something new and having fun with friends along the way!
