Week 4, the second week at the Basking Ridge location is off to a great start! This week, our two classes are Creative Writing Workshop and Virtual Reality. So far, our writers have been learning about literary devices such as metaphors, similes, and personification. After developing their knowledge on these devices and examining the works of other authors, our campers wrote poetry of their own! Our Virtual Reality students are currently designing and coding obstacle courses, similar to those on the television show, “Wipe Out”. Throughout the process, campers are able to see their creations come to life through their Virtual Reality goggles!
Aside from learning in our new classes, we’ve been enjoying our break activities just as much! On Monday we went outside and played a few intense games of Gaga Ball, while on Tuesday we challenged one another to “Minute to Win It” games like cup stacking relay races! Stay tuned for more updates throughout the week, including photos of our campers in their costumes for the “Halloween in July” theme day!
